Learn GTM & Sales Automation Claude Skills
AI for GTM9 Claude skills worth adding today
Each one turns Claude into a specialist for a single job, from planning a launch to explaining a hard topic in plain words. Install takes about a minute per skill.
A Claude skill is a short set of
instructions someone wrote so Claude handles one job the way an expert
would. It lives in a single Markdown file called
SKILL.md.
A prompt you paste every time is a habit. A skill is that prompt saved once.
For GTM people that matters, because most of the work repeats. You write another cold email, profile another competitor, plan another launch. A skill means you stop re-explaining the job and start from the expert version.
The list
9 Claude skills for GTM work
What each one does, and where it earns its keep in a sales or marketing week.
- 1
/humanizer
Rewrites a draft so it reads like a person wrote it.
For GTM: Run it on cold emails and LinkedIn posts before they go out. Prospects skim past copy that smells like a template.

/brainstorming
Keeps asking you questions until a rough idea turns into a real plan.
For GTM: Use it before a new campaign or offer. It forces out the ICP, the angle and the success metric you skipped.

/competitor-profiling
Builds a full profile of any competitor from their website.
For GTM: Battlecards for sales, positioning notes for the homepage, and talking points for "we already use X" objections.

/meeting-insights-analyzer
Reads meeting transcripts and shows your speaking time and filler words.
For GTM: Feed it discovery-call transcripts. If you talk for 70% of the call, you are pitching, not discovering.

For GTM: Turn a prospect's podcast appearance or a competitor's product demo into notes in a minute.

/thinking-second-order
Follows a decision past its first result to what happens after.
For GTM: Test pricing changes, free-tier cuts and channel bets. A discount that lifts signups can also train buyers to wait.

/kaizen
Finds what is slowing a process down and what to fix first.
For GTM: Point it at your lead routing or onboarding steps. You get the one bottleneck worth fixing this week.

How to install a Claude skill
In the Claude app on the web or desktop, it is six clicks. Do it once per skill.
- 1
Download the SKILL.md
Open the skill's link and download its SKILL.md file.
- 2
Go to claude.ai
Sign in on the web or the desktop app.
- 3
Open Customize
This is where your skills are listed.
- 4
Hit the Add button
It opens a small dropdown.
- 5
Choose "Upload a skill"
Pick it from the dropdown.
- 6
Select the file
Choose the SKILL.md you downloaded. The skill shows up in your list, ready to use.
Read the file before you upload it. A skill is a set of instructions Claude will follow, so spend thirty seconds checking what it asks Claude to do.
Using the same skills in Claude Code
Claude Code reads the exact same SKILL.md files. There is no upload step. You drop each file into a folder named after the skill, and Claude Code picks it up on the next session.
~/.claude/
└── skills/
├── humanizer/
│ └── SKILL.md
├── competitor-profiling/
│ └── SKILL.md
└── launch/
└── SKILL.md
Put them in ~/.claude/skills/
to use them in every project. Use
.claude/skills/
inside one project folder if only that workspace needs them, for example a
shared folder your whole sales team works from.
Then type /humanizer
followed by your draft, or just ask for the task. Want to build your own?
Our Claude Code prompts guide
writes a /linkedin-post
skill from scratch.
How to use one, and why all 9 won't slow Claude down
Ask Claude for the task, or name the skill in your message. "Profile acme.com as a competitor" is enough. Claude spots that the request matches a skill and follows its instructions.
Until then, Claude only holds each skill's name and one-line description. It reads the full instructions when your task calls for them. As a result, you can install all 9 and Claude stays just as fast.
The catch is the description. If two skills sound alike, Claude may pick the wrong one. Name the skill in your message when it matters. Anthropic's Agent Skills docs cover how the loading works in detail.
